Moving east - new DHL facility in Moskow

Now almost a year after the installation, DHL Express at the Moscow Airport Scheremetyevo are pleased to see how well functioning the Moving equipment is and how smooth the implementation of the conveyors and the handling equipment went. Moving has previously equipped and installed several DHL facilities in Europe and when asked to quote the equipment for the DHL facility at the Moscow airport Moving went for the most eastern location ever.

The system delivered to DHL is handling aircraft containers with parcels coming from all around the world. The container are put onto roller decks and then manually pushed to a location were the operator opens the container and empties the parcels onto a conveyor system depending on the type of the parcel and destination. Once the container is empty the operator will take it back to the out feed position and the next container will be handled. The equipment from Moving is installed in a rough environment with high demands for quality and sustainability.

Due to the great success and short implementation time for the project another request for a similar installation followed for DHL Express in Kiev. Both the Moscow and Kiev project were finalised according to planned time schedule and are now working in full operation. The success factor is a co-operation between DHL, Moving and the Lithuanian partner Equinox, who assisted Moving with the mechanical and electrical installation as well as being an important partner when it comes to service and after sales in the Baltic States and Russia. Moving and Equinox have a very close co-operation and clients like DHL and Biotek may confirm that the partnership is not only a success factor but also of the utmost importance in order to ensure a fast and reliable support to clients in this area.
